Every month, I throw an event for kids in my city as a way to provide for the parents (and kiddos) that have helped make my business, Fun For EP Kids, successful. Each event has a theme and at each event I give the kiddos something special to take home with them. March’s event was called the “Lucky Fun Party” and we based it on the color green and rainbows.
Everything turned out simply great! And my favorite part: the rainbow crayons (which I made myself)!
I got the idea from this pin a while back. I was going to make them for my brother’s class for Valentine’s Day, but we never found a heart shaped mold so I made these for the kids that went to my event, instead.
Boy, did they LOVE them! They were amazed and all of them asked if they could take some home. Of course, I said yes. They all had some super awesome rainbow drawings to show off after the event was over.
Make Your Own Rainbow Crayons:
- Collect all the broken crayon pieces you have laying around (we had TONS!)
- Place a few pieces of crayons into each cup of a cupcake pan (the more you add, the thicker your crayons)
- “Bake” at 350 degrees for 10-15 minutes
- Put the cupcake pan in the freezer for about 10 minutes, then pop out your awesome rainbow crayons!
