Baby Brother turned 20 months last Monday and we’re working hard to build his vocabulary before he heads back to school in a couple of weeks.
Lately, we’ve been reading a lot of books. He enjoys listening and is always pointing to things in the photos and naming them. It’s so cute!!
Today, I’m sharing a list of our favorite books!
The David Books by David Shannon
No, David // David Goes to School
These books are simple reads and the pictures are really silly. Baby Brother laughs at every page turn and the bare butt page cracks him up.
The Purple Crayon books by Crockett Johnson
Harold and the Purple Crayon // Harold’s Trip to the Sky // Harold’s ABC
Harold is such a cute character! And when working with Baby Brother on his ABC’s, Harold’s ABC is a good book to have. He also loves watching Harold’s drawings come together.
Chicka, Chicka books by Bill Martin Jr.
Chicka Chicka Boom Boom // Chicka Chicka 1, 2, 3 // Boom Chicka Rock
Chicka Chicka Boom Boom was one of my favorite books when I was little! They’re bright colorful books and make teaching letters and numbers easy and fun! These books are longer, so we usually only read sections at a time.

We have many of these too. What a wonderful collection!
It is! I hope to pass my love for reading to him, it’s so important and gets lost in this world full of technology.
Thanks for stopping by! 🙂
Several of these books are on the favorites list in our house, and I’m always looking for more books to read to the littlest one. Thanks for the recommendations!
