When we ditched cable one of the first things I thought about missing was the holiday movies. I was afraid that Netflix, which is we turned to instead of cable, wouldn’t have a selection of holiday movies that we would be able to enjoy… I was so wrong! Netflix has a great selection of Christmas movies that are extremely enjoyable. I’m sharing my favorite Christmas movies on Netflix with you today as well as other ones that are available.
Holiday in Handcuffs
“Unexpectedly single just before the holidays, an aspiring artist kidnaps a handsome stranger to introduce to her family as her new boyfriend.”
This is one of my favorite Christmas movies that I enjoyed when we did have cable so seeing this one on Netflix was awesome! Holiday in Handcuffs is a sweet and romantic Christmas movie that will make you laugh.
Coming Home for Christmas
“Two estranged sisters hope that having Christmas at their old house will bring their family together, but unfortunately someone else lives there now.”
This movie was a breath of fresh air for me simply because fighting and never speaking to my sister in the future is a fear of mine. We’re so different, I feel like we’ll grow apart. This movie is all about family and a good reminder that not all of us are blessed with a wonderful family. It’s definitely a great holiday movie!
“Twenty-something Georgia pines for her old boyfriend and is thrilled to have a second chance at love when she attends their high school reunion.”
Okay, this movie is extremely cheesy and corny… if that’s not your cup of tea I would skip it, but for me the cheesier, the better. It’s also not your average Christmas romance movie, this one takes place at a high school reunion with a winter theme. It’s cute!
The Heart of Christmas
“When Austin and Julie’s young son is diagnosed with cancer, they decide to give him one last Christmas — even if it has to be in October.”
The Heart of Christmas is definitely a tear-jerker! I guess any movie involving cancer would be. This movie was a great reminder to take a break and enjoy life. Life is so precious and we should cherish it.
“Finding a letter mailed to Santa by a girl asking for a new wife for her daddy, twenty-something Crystal sets out to make the girl’s wishes come true.”
At first I felt like I wasn’t going to like this movie, but it ended up being a charming and lovable story that I adored. This is definitely one of those simple Christmas movies that you watch while by the fire and drinking hot chocolate.
