Over the years, I have fallen in love with mason jars. I have them everywhere! The ones in my office hold my many colorful pens and markers. In my bedroom you’ll find mason jars filled with bobby pins, hair ties, and nail polish. I even have a mason jar in my car that holds spare change.
Spring is here and summer is coming, which is extremely exciting… but that also means some days of boredom are headed my way. I want to fill those days with doing as many DIY and craft projects on the back porch as I possibly could.
Mason Jar Crafts
There’s so many great things that you can do with mason jars, but today I’m sharing five mason jar crafts that I really want to try.
DIY Chalk Painted Mason Jars – This mason jar craft shared by Michele of Sweet Threads Clothing Co. looks simple to make & I love the idea of the mason jar holding fresh flowers. I can definitely see this sitting on our kitchen table.
Red, White, and Blue Mason Jars – 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays and when I saw these patriotic mason jars shared by Linda of It All Started with Paint, I squealed. They would make the perfect addition to a independence day party, but would look great displayed in front of our kitchen window. Linda also shared some mason jars she painted with daisies, I couldn’t get over how cute they were!
DIY Glitter Vases – I love me some glitter! And I love these glitter vases shared by Cyd over at The Sweetest Occasion. It’s a great way to jazz up mason jars and I can see me upgrading the pen-holding mason jars on my desk to these over the summer. So much sparkle!
DIY Rustic Mason Jars – Did you know that mini mason jars existed? I didn’t. They make my heart swoon! I love how Jennifer of Rusted Treasure used two tones to make these adorable little jars look rustic. They would be perfect in the bathroom to organize the little things! I can see myself replacing the ones I have in my room with these too. They’re the perfect size for bobby pins and hair ties.
DIY Foaming Hand Soap Dispenser – We go through hand soap like crazy in this house! It’s insane. With this mason jar craft shared by Giustina of Domestically Blissful, I could just buy the extra large refill soap and refill when I need to. Plus, It would look much better in the bathroom than the boring one we get at the store.
I’m so excited to try these as spring ends and we head into summer. Decorated mason jars are going to be all over the house and I’m going to LOVE it!
