In February, I upgraded my desk to an l-shaped one with a hutch. I fell in love instantly because I had so much more workspace. As time passed, my desk turned from a nice and organized safe haven to a cluttered eye sore which I’m sure leads to me being less productive.
It’s become too much and since spring is in the air, I took the time to tackle cleaning and reorganizing my desk so that I could get back to work.
You see, I’m a little kooky. I need a notebook, notepad, or sticky note for everything. I also use different colored pens like crazy. I had pens everywhere! My trash can is across the room… I don’t know why, so the water bottles on my desk go from 1 to 30 in an instant. I also have a filing cabinet that I don’t use, hence the piles of papers.
It took a couple of hours to organize and find a place for everything, but I did it.
I collected all my notepads & sticky notes and placed them inside a little pink basket I got from the Dollar Tree. I gathered all of my Erin Condren life planners and notebooks and leaned them against the caddy that holds all my Thirty-One business supplies.
I also organized all my washi tape, stickers, planner accessories, notecards, address labels and everything else into the little pink bins that I also found at the Dollar Tree. I even took the time to organize the desktop on my iMac! And… my office is smelling great right now because of my Renuzit Pearl Scents.
Everything that was once just thrown into the cabinet has been fixed up.
I’m using a little Thirty-One caddy as a catch-all basket. My crafting tools are in the little bucket from Target and I have my EC candle ready for when I need it. My bible and devotional journal are in there near my huge box of bandaids.
In the end, it turned up looking really good!
A clean desk is a happy desk!
