When I first starting planning in my Erin Condren Life Planner, I never thought it would turn into what is now my biggest hobby. There’s just something so pleasant about planning! Also, because I deal with anxiety and depression, planning out my weeks gives me a sense of purpose.
Through the years, planning has sort of become a craze… a craze I hope never goes out of style! I love being on Instagram and scrolling down the #planneraddict hashtag. So much, in fact, that I started an Instagram account just for my planner and in a year I’ve hit over 2,000 followers (which I never expected)!
One thing I get a lot from the planning community is: “but I don’t have money to buy stickers or washi”… and you know what? That’s totally OKAY!
I’m here to tell you that it is perfectly fine to plan without stickers or washi. They’re not required!
Last week in my ECLP, I decided to do an all pen week:
Although I have a good amount of washi tape and lots of planning stickers, it was nice to just put pen to paper. I also really love how the week turned out! Throughout 2015, I did a few all (or mostly all) pen weeks… here’s a few of my favorites:
In February, I added some stickers and washi tape, but it was mostly pen… a Pilot G2 to be exact.
Here’s one from May after I fell in love with Paper Mate Flairs.
This is an all pen week from August.
And in November, I pulled out my gold Pilot G2 and did another all pen week. This is probably one of my favorite spreads of 2015!
See… you don’t need stickers and washi to plan. They’re not a necessity! Grab a pen or two, colorful or not, and just go for it! Seriously.
Here’s a few of my favorite planner girls on Instagram that do all (or mostly all) pen weeks!
Give them a follow and let them know that @brittanyplans sent you! 😉
Have you done an all pen week in your planner?
