I recently posted a review on the Erin Condren Deluxe Monthly Planner. Today I’m excited to share with you how I will be using one as a planner for my blogs and social media accounts.
Running this blog along with Fun For EP Kids, Brittany Plans (which I have big plans for in 2017) and my social media gets a bit hectic! It causes me to lose sight of my goals and to-dos, but I hope to change that in the new year.
For my blog planner, I chose to use an Erin Condren Deluxe Monthly Planner in the neutral color scheme (with the extra note pages, of course). It includes all 12 months with a dot grid page and quote before the monthly calendar page and then functional task and productivity pages after.
I used the dot grid page to create a tracker for my monthly statistics. I plan on updating it the first day of every month which allows me to see the progress when I update the next month.
The inspirational quote being on the same spread is pretty motivational. Especially January’s quote… new beginnings, I just love it!
On the monthly calendar spread, I used the stickers that came included in the back of the planner to plan out my blog posts. The best thing is that the stickers are repositional, so if you need to move them around you totally can! The goals and to-dos sidebar I’ll use to write ideas for additional posts, if needed.
This spread allows me to have a nice overview of the month and see what needs to be done. It also allows me to help plan to accomplish my goals. For example, I want to blog at least 3 times a week in the new year and here I can visually see plans for that goal in action.
I’ll use the functional task page for my goals, notes, and income/expense tracking. The five sections make it easy to divide up my blogs, social media, and YouTube channel (which I also have big plans for). Each of the sections has 5 lines, so I came up with five goals for each section. I focused on goals that were achievable within a month. For bigger goals, I’ll use the note pages that are after the monthly pages.
I’ll use the productivity page for notes such as deadlines, post ideas, holidays and events happening that month, etc. I’ll use the sidebar to track my income and expenses. I plan on coloring the dot green for income and red for expenses. Then I’ll write what the income or expense is and the amount along with the date. This will help me keep track and will be easy to reference when it’s tax time.
And that’s how I’ll be using the EC Deluxe Monthly Planner as a blog planner. The good thing is that if I need to make changes, I can. It allows for flexibility and I like that.
Plus, you know I love me some Erin Condren! 😉
In the back, there’s tons more note pages so I’ll be tracking things like logins, design ideas, color codes, notes from research, and so much more! I plan to share those in a separate blog post when they’re done. I’ll also be sharing photos on my Instagram.

Great ideas! I don’t have the deluxe, but it looks fantastic!
I keep hearing about the EC planners everywhere! I am currently using one I bought at Michaels, but next year I think I am going to take the plunge with one of these. It looks much more versatile. Thanks for sharing!
