The king has returned! The Lion King is the fifth title to join the Walt Disney Signature Collection, which includes groundbreaking films created or inspired by the imagination and legacy of Walt Disney, featuring timeless stories and characters that have touched generations. It takes its place alongside Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Beauty and the Beast, Pinocchio and Bambi.
The coming-of-age masterpiece, filled with humor and heart, breathtaking animation and soul-stirring Academy Award®–winning music (1994: Best Original Score and Best Original Song, “Can You Feel the Love Tonight”), arrives on Digital on August 15th and on Blu-ray and DVD on August 29th.
To celebrate (because growing up, The Lion King was my one of my favorite movies and now I get to share it with my littlest brother!) we made a fun but easy lion mask!
Here’s what you need:
- Yellow foam
- Black foam
- Cutter or scissors
- Orange yarn
- Craft stick
- Tacky glue
The steps are easy!
- Cut a large circle and two small circles from the yellow foam.
- Cut a nose and mouth from the black foam.
- Cut the orange yarn into 2.5 inch pieces.
- Cut eyes into the large circle.
- Glue the small circles to the large circle as ears.
- Glue the nose and mouth to the large circle.
- Glue the craft stick to the back of the large circle.
- Glue the yarn around the large circle.
And that’s it! 🙂
Now he has a fun mask to use while we enjoy the movie!
The Blu-ray bonus extras are awesome. There’s even an all-new sing along version of the movie (which makes experiencing the movie really fun!). And… I’m giving away a copy of the movie!
